■ (From Canterbury Times.} At Addington, on 22nd, there Was a large attendance of buyers, but biddings throughout the sale were remarkably dull. 5141 sheep, 252 head ,of cattle, and 175 pigs came to hand for the * week’s supply. Sheep.— Prime cross-breds realised from 16s 6d to its 9d ; good ditto, from 12s 6d to 14s 6d. Prime merinos were dull of sale at from lls 3d to 13s 6d. We quote 2|d per lb as an average for fat sheep. Cattle.— Only a small supply of fat cattle was penned, and those submitted met with a dull sale, in fact several drafts not reaching owner’s limits were passed in unsold. We quote 225. 6d per, 1001b as ah average for good beef. A limited number of stores were offered, but business for this description'was very quiet, and only two or three pens found buyers. Small ; calves realised 23s each, ■while'good conditioned: three-year-old steers brought £4 15s. : - -
