Mr C.F. BARKER’S STOCK REPORT.

My sale at Patea Yards on Wednesday was well attended, and the bidding for most classes of stock was fairly brisk, especially for sheep. The cattle entries amounted to 176, nearly all of which were sold. No beef offered. The sheep entries, amounting to 320, were chiefly ewes. There is a largo demand for ewes in lamb, but few offering. Pigs were in moderate supply, and sold at satisfactory prices. Cattle.—l sold 37 2-years-old steers at £3 10s, 16 2-years steers £3 ss, 14 cows £3 2s 6d, besides several other lines at satisfactory prices. Sheep.—l sold 120 mixed store sheep at 7s Id, 200 mixed store ewes and wethers at 9s. Pigs.—s sows in pig at £1 15s, small pigs from B*. Horses.—Light draught at £2O, hacks from £3 to £ll.
