WELLINGTON-MANAWATU RAILWAY.

The provisional directors of the Wel-lington-Manawatu Railway Company met in Wellington on the 6th June, sixteen members present; Mr Jonas Woodward in the chair.

It was resolved, That Messrs Travers and Son be appointed solicitors to the company, and the name of Mr W. T. L. Travers be restored on the list of provisional directors. A committee was appointed to prepare, with the aid of the solicitors to the company, a draft of the Articles of Association and of Regulations for the Company, consisting of Messrs James Wallace, G. V. Shannon, J. Plimmer, Jonas Woodward, and Dr Newman, to report to a general meeting of shareholders within a fortnight. The Executive Committee, with the addition of Mr A. Young, were appointed to act as a Finance Committee to adjust all claims against the Company. Mr Seivwright’s name was added to the list of provisional directors.
