News to hand from Temora goldfield reports that heavy rains have lately fallen there, and it is estimated that sufficient water has been stored to wash 30,000 loads of stuff. THE ROYAL PRINCES. Melbourne, 10th. Extensive preparations are being made for the reception and entertainment of the Royal Princes on the arrival here of the detached squadron. Several grand balls will be given, including one by the Mayor in the Exhibition building. PRANCE WARNS TURKEY. Constantinople, 9th. It has transpired that the French Government has notified the Porte that the despatch of Turkish troops to Tunis will be deemed a causus belli. FRENCH TROOPS SUOCESTPUL. Paris, 9 th. Intelligence to hand from Tunis states that the French troops have been successful in their operations against the tribe of Kroumirs, and have now occupied the latter’s stronghold. BULGARIAN GOVERNMENT London, 9tb. Telegrams have been received from Sofia announcing that Prince Alexander, of Bulgaria, threatens to resign unless the National Assembly makes radical changes in the system of the Government of the country. MONUMENT to BEACONSPIELD. London, 9th. In the Commons to-day a motion authorising the erection of a monument to the late Earl Beaconsfield, in Westminster Abbey, was, after debate, carried on division by a majority of 326. A similar motion was agreed to in Lords without division.
