BRANCH OFFICE OF THE MAIL, Friday Evening.
Some talk of an action for slander has amused people within the circle of village gossips, but happily the affair Is not coming off. What was said in heat may fairly be unsaid on reflection : only, don’t do it again. Mr H. F. Mason has opened a timber 3 T ard on the main road near the premises of Mr J. B. Taylor, blacksmith. It will be a great convenience to those requiring small quantities of timber, while the prices quoted should secure a fair share of trade where considerable quantities are required. Its advantage for loading up will tend to draw a trade to the yard, as the road between the Station and the township is none of the best.
