LAND SALE.

(From Our Correspondent.) Hawera, Monday. DEFERRED PAYMENT AUCTION. There were numerous applicants for the bush land on Saturday, not less than 47 for the 22 sections, but only 19 were selected, B remaining still open for selection. Three thousand acres west of the Waingongoro river were open for selection ; and six thousand acres were offered for cash on Monday. There is a strong feeling that more of these bush sections should have been on the deferred payment system and less for cash.

The Town Hall was crowded this forenoon, and the bidding of competitors for deferred sections came on first. The bidding was spirited for most of the lots, with the following result ; NGAIRE BLOCK.
