Hawera C.C. was a cricket malcli played on Saturday on the Opunaki ground. The weather was all that could be desired, and the wicket was fair. Hawera won the toss and elected to put in their opponents. Good cricket was shown on both sides, but Hawera managed to score a win with nine wickets to spare. The combined A.C’s. made 52 in the first innings, the highest figure being 20. The total for two innings was 144. The Hawera team scored as follows : First Innings.
