MANUTAHI.

The members of the Recreation Board met at Manutahi for the first time on Tuesday to elect a Chairman &c, Mr J. Ginger was elected Chairman. The Board having no funds at their disposal purpose leasing the reserve for a short term, subject to conditions. What those conditions will be the Board have not decided. Before closing the meeting a vole of thanks to Mr R. W. Foreman was passed for the energy and public spirit he lias shown on behalf of the settlers, he having been mainly instrumental in getting the reserve proclaimed a public recreation ground.
