WAITOTARA.

f F ROM OUR CORKESPO NDEN T. ] Monday Evening. Tlie petitioners against removal of the Post and Telegraph Office to tlie Railway Station have received a reply from Government to the effect that in the present financial condition of the colony the offices cannot be maintained here separately ; but arrangements will bo made to lesson tlie inconvenience by delivciy in the township. Tho Government school was examined by Mr Foul is last week. The results have not yet transpired. I hear that only four passed for the different standards. Truth and a sense of duty compel me to state that since the examination I have heard some of the children complain that they sometimes could not understand what the examiner said.
