The Mail has over 80 subscribers. between Whcnuakura and Waitotara. BRANCH OFFICE OF THE MAIL. Wednesday Evening. The Town Boakd held its monthly meeting in Mr Fookes’s office, on Monday evening. Present, Messrs Swinbourn (chairman), Taylor, Bowie, and Bead. The business was of a routine character—passing accounts and opening tenders. Mr Kennedy’s account of 32M0s, and Mr Thurlin’s of 17Z 10s were passed. The tenders for the formation of Brassy-street were openocl*.—Keunefly o s ?AVoolston 23 1, Olston 27Z105, Thurlin 33Z 15s, Harrison and Co. 16Z. The tender of Harrison
and Co. was accepted. Some talk arose regarding the notices served on the holders of sections to have their gorse hedges trimmed, but the Chairman was understood not to have sent the notices, so that if the gorse docs not annoy the holders of the sections, the Town Board it seems will not trouble them. It is announced that Mr Muir, formcrley salesman at Messrs Turnbull and Co.’s, Wellington, has this day taken over Mr Ovorend’s business; and from Ins experience in tho line, he ought to do wo II in Waverley,
