NORMANBY.

JFIt O .11 OU It aOItItESI’ OND E N T.] Friday Evening - . I am glad to see that some signs are being made of the erection of the Town Hall. A contractor’s office has been put up, and a considerable amount of timber is on the ground ; and if only the weather would improve, progress might quickly be made. The contractor expects to have it sufficiently finished by Christmas to allow of an entertainment being held, and I trust his expectations may prove a fact, as there is a great want hero of sonic place where people can meet together, and an occasional concert or something of the sort would do a great deal to enliven the evenings. With the prospect too of a large number of settlers on the Plains, something should be done to attract them here at times.
