Messenger (late Port Wine)’ * 1 Chandler ... ... ... 2 Camelia 3 Twelve started. Tally-ho nowhere. lIUEDLES. King Don ... 1 Grey Momus 2 Ada ... , 3 Good race. Sunray raced to the front for nearly the whole distance, and then was beaten. handicap. Hailstorm ... 1 ; Opawa ... 2 Rocket 3 The Patea horse won cleverly. Soukar was scratched. Eight started. KAILWAY STAKES. Hailstorm ... ... ... 1 Redeemer 2 Soukar 3 Grand race, and won in the fast time of 2 min. 46 secs., after a desperate finish. CONSOLATION. * -w My Dream 1 Rocket ... ... ... 2 Opawa 3 Nine started. Mr Wilkie’s Don won the Hack Hurdles, the Hawera horse Meromere being second. Don also won the Hack Race.
