Siu, —Can you tell me liow it i.s, seeing that the unemployed are paid out of the Charitable Aid Fund, that men who have no claim on that fund have been appointed gangers, overseers, and inspcctois, most of which are single men, whilst better men are are to be found among the married unemployed ? "Wliy not give to the skilful and intelligent married unemployed a chance to better their condition, instead of placing over them inferior men who are without question good pick-and-shovcl men, but arc sadly wanting in management, or ordinary engineering skill ?
