POULTRY. Exhibits of any kind to consist of one male and two female, birds. A Prize of 10s -will be given for the best exhibit of any breed. DOCS Can be exhibited.

NOTE. —Salt butter will be received, in kegs of not less than 201bs, up to the 31st October, 1880, and will be stored in the cellar of Mr John Gibson, Patea, for exhibition at the Autumn Show. It can be shown eitlici in lumps or in pound pats in brine. Prizes, £3, £2, and £l.

IMPLEMENTS. Exhibits, imported or of local manufacture, are respectfully invited, when prizes will be given if of sufficient merit.

LEAPING MATCH. A leaping match will take place at 3.30 p.m. Entrance fee, 10s. Prize £l, with half the entries added. Three tries allowed at each rise of the bar. Baulks to count as trials. Entries for this event can bo made with the Secretary on the ground up to the time appointed for commencing the match. A contest will lake place after the leaping match over a water jump of 12ft. Entrance fee 10s. Prize £1 Avitii half entries added. Entries same as for the leaping match.

o RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Members of the Association can exhibit on paying the following fees : —Horses : Entires, 10s : other classes, ss. Cattle : Bulls, ss; other classes, 2s Gel. Single sheep, 2s Gd: pen of three, ss.’ Tigs, 2s Gd; poultry, dogs, and produce, Is; implements. 2s Gd. Nonmembers to pay double fees in every case. 2. All stock exhibited must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor, or his principal. The names, residences, and districts of

the exhibitor and breeder, the breed of the animal he intends to exhibit, the pedigree of Hie stock as far as known—of sheep, the time of shearing—young horses and cattle, the date of birth—must be given to the Secretary with entries. ■l. In cattle, class A, the ages will date from Ist August, in each year. 5. Xo competitor will be allowed to exhibit more than one lot in produce class, G. Stock that cannot be shown in a competing class can be exhibited as extra stock, and if deemed worthy of a prize by the judges, one will be awarded. 7. In no case shall a prize be adjudged unless the judges shall deem the lot to possess sufficient merit, more especially if only one

lot is exhibited. 8. All exhibits for compctition must be on the Show Ground as follows ;—Sheep and pigs, before 8 a.m.; cattle, 9 a.m.; horses dairy produce, poultry, dogs, implements, 10 a.m. sharp of the Show 'day. Judging to commence at 10 a.m. O. The Committee will not. under any circumstances, hold themselves responsible for loss, damage, or mis-delivery of stock, produce, or implements exhibited at the Show.

10. All protests must be in writing, and left with the Secretary before 4 o'clock on the day of tlic Show. The decision of the Managing Committee to be final. 11. Xo stock, produce, or implements exhibited to be removed from the ground until after -1 o’clock on the day of the Show, without a special order from the Secretary. 12. All horses and bulls must be led. 13. No horses will be admitted to the ground except those entered for exhibition. Hoi’ses for the leaping match and water jump will be admitted at 3 p.m, 1-1. An entrance fee of 2s Cd will be charged for entries made for special prizes in every case where a prize for a similar exhibit is not offered by the Association. Non-

members to pay double fees. 15, That no exhibitor can enter more than three exhibits in one class. IG. The judges shall have power to disqualify from competition any animal wrongly entered. ENTRIES.

Entries for the Show will be received by the Secretary, through the post, at any lime up to 5 p.m. on Thursday, 28th October, such entries to be made on printed forms which will be provided for that purpose, and must be accompanied by the entrance fees. Entries of stock must state the name, sex, and age of the animal intended to be exhibited, and the class and section in which it is to compete. Entries will also be received by the Secretary at Lloyd's Hotel, Hawera, from 10 a,m. till 4 p.m. on • the 25th October, at D. Ballam’s Hotel, AVaverley, during the same hours on the 27th October, and at the Association’s Office, Carlyle, on any day (for the week pre-

vious to the Show) except those above stated, till 5 p.m. on the 28th October , when they will positively close, except where otherwise stated -on the programme. Entry forms will be obtainable at the places appointed for receiving entries. Entries must be in the hands of the secretary at the time fixed as above for closing entries. N.B. —The supporters of the Association are

respectfully requested to makc.an early payment of their subscriptions to the Hon. Treasurer, Mr J. Gibson, Carlyle, or to the Secretary. Exhibitors being members, and claiming privileges as such, are required to pay their subscriptions, together with entrance fees, on making their entries, if not previously paid. Receipts will be given signed by the Secre-

tary. Tickets will be issued to subscribers and to exhibitors, which on being produced at the gate will entitle them or their servants to free admission. Servants must be in charge of stock, and must be subject to the orders of the Committee. Admission to the general public before 12 o’clock, 2s Gel.; after that time, Is,; Children, half-price. THOS.
