Mr Rees, solicitor, and eight men, have forcibly entered Robert Cooper’s premises, near Gisborne, in the absence of Cooper, and while his wife was lying ill. It is the subject of excited comment. Rees is trying to get possession of the Hapera property, which Cooper claims under a disputed title from the trustees in Read’s estate.
