Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer’s Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some bank in the town where the tender is lodged ; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, and to he in favor of the Receiver-Genera I's Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. Patea will leave Patea as under (circumstances permitting): For Nelson and Wellington— Sunday, Sept. 2Gth, 12.50 p.m. For Wellington— For the future flags will be hoisted at the office to denote arrival and departure of steamer: End, with blue and white centre — Arrival. Blue, with white centre, underneath red flag—Departure on that day. Consignees will please arrange with shippers from Southern Ports to ship goods direct to Patea. Outward shippers arc particularly requested to arrange at the office for shipment of same. Passengers are also requested to obtain their tickets at the office, or from the Manager, who will be in attendance on board -i- hour before leaving.
