BRANCH OFFICE OF THE MAIL, Frida}' Evening. R.M. COURT. Thursday, before Captain Wray. Alleged Embezzlement. —The R. M. delivered judgement hi re Dent and Miller and Hawkins. He dismissed the information, but severely reprimanded Hawkins for not paying all liabilities upon receiving the money, instead of causing his creditors the trouble they had been put to. Several cases against persons for riding and driving accress the footpaths in Hawera were dismissed, with a caution that as these were the first offenders they would be dealt with leniently. ' Civil Cases. —Whittaker Bros. v. 0. C. M‘Donnell, £3 9s. 4d. Judgment by default and costs. Do.u.Emerton,£3 11s 4d. Judgment confessed. W.L. England v, E. Hawkins, £9lssAdjudgment for plaintiff and costs, W. Jones v, Eesensky £9 ss. Mr Barley man for plaintiff, and Mr Farrington for defendant. Judgment for plaintiff, £2 11s 9d, and costs 13s, A, Domingo v. Kate Summers, £8 Bs. Mr Barlcyman for plaintiff and Mr Farrington for defendant. Judgement for plaintiff £6, costs 11s.
