ST. GEORGE'S CHURCH .
Sm, —I wish to call the attention of those in authority to , the necessity of placing a proper step to the entrance of the above church, instead of the box which has done duty for a step so long. It is now broken, and last evening, after service was concluded, it was nearly the means of causing an accident. Had it done so, would not the church authorities have been liable for damages? Surely the funds are not at such a low ebb that a few shillings cannot be spared to place a step at the entrance to the church.—l am, &c. CHLTvCHMAN. Patea, August 30.
