At the wool sale to-day 9400 bales wore offered. There was a good demand. New Zealand wheat, ex ship, 445. CRICKET VICTORIES. London, 25th. The cricket match Australians v. eighteen of Ycadon was concluded today. The Home team’s second innings ended for 47 ; and the Australians won the match in one innings with 65 runs to spare. Boyle in the second innings of Ycadon took nine wickets. AUCKLAND LOAN. London 25th. Tenders for the City of Auckland loan of £55,000 at six per cent, were opened to-day. The total amount offered by lenders was £335,000, at an average of £llO ss. LONDON MARKETS. London, 25 th. Consols unchanged at 97f; New Zealand Government securities 5 per cent 10-40 loan, ; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 104. London, 2Gth. Shipments of wheat from America are diminishing. CHAMPION SCULLINGLondon, 26th. Hanlon is expected to arrive in England on the loth September to go into training for the I’acc with Trickctt. NAVAL REVIEW. Loudon, 2fith. It is contemplated to hold a grand naval demonstration of British ships off an English port shortly. RACING IN VICTORIA. Melbourne, Friday. A excellent programme is arranged for the race meeting’ in honor of Sir Hercules Robinson on the 18th September. The chief event will be the Robinson stakes, with £250 added money. Entries close September 15th, SOUTH AUSTRALIAN POLITICS. Adelaide, Friday. A vote of no-confidence in the Ministry has been negatived by 25 to 11. RACING IN SYDNEY. Sydney, Friday. The Hawkesbury Grand Handicap resulted thus:—Hesperion 1, Sweetmeat 2, Strathearn, 3 ; won by three lengths; time, 2 min. 38 4-10 sees. SYDNEY PRICES. Sydney, Friday.
