The County Petitions.
( Telegram from our Correspondent.) Wellington, Wednesday Night.
Reports of Committees on the petitions re Patea County representation, re settlement of Waimate Plains, and re completion of main line of railway through your district were laid on the able of the Lower House yesterday. The Egmout district electoral is to remain as at present, in the Redistribution Bill, there being no change throughout all Taranaki. Railway works not yet contracted for arc to be postponed. The Waimate settlement is to be considered after Commissioners’ final report is before the House.
