Town Board,— -The usual monthly mooting- was hold on Monday evening. Present, Messrs Swinbourn (chairman), Read, McLean, Bowie, and Taylor. The leasing of the Domain was taken under consideration. It was proposed by Mr McLean, and seconded by Mr Bowie, “ That when biases are granted for the Domain, the holders shall be required to put up a uniform ditch and bank fence, planted with a hawthorn icnce.”—Carried, Proposed by Mr Taylor, and seconded by Mr Read, “ That the gates shall be made uniform.” Carried. Proposed by Mr McLean, and seconded by Mr Bowie, “ That the leases shall be for 21 years, and that no person bo allowed to lease more than one section.”—Carried. It was also agreed that the auction of the leases shall be held by Mr F. R. Jackson on or about the 23rd July. Delay. —Owing to some mistake in not forwarding a mail bag, the conch was delayed bore for an hour on Tuesday, but proceeded without it, the driver expecting that a horseman with the missing bag would overtake him at the next stage. The Domain. —The Town Board have acted wisely in not demanding too expensive fencing on the Domain, but it is to be hoped they will insist on a neatness in the putting up of the fences, and have stringent regulations as to the

keeping of the live fence trimmed and without gaps during the lease.
