Death of the Empress of 2&ussia. St. Petersburg, 3rd. Her Imperial Majesty the Empress of Russia, who has long been in her dotage, died to-day, aged 7G years The Courts of Great Britain and Germany will go into mourning. The Empress is the mother of the Duchess of Edinburgh. .ROBBING A BANK. Sydney, 2nd. The Commercial Bank of Sydney at Guirindi lias been robbed by four armed men, who wore masked. The manager of the Bank was engaged feeding his horses at ten o’clock p.m., when suddenly.howas bailed up and compelled to open the safe, from which £4BB in gold was taken. The manager’s wife and sister were covered hy revolvers while the money was being taken. The robbers departed at one o’clock in the morning. The clerk was absent on leave, and the police arc engaged on country duty.
