Tnu Pate a West Road Board Erections took place at the Town Hall on Thursday, with the following result: John Paterson, 126; James Ball, 116; F. M. Chapman, 112; R. B. Hamilton, 93; H. S. Peacock, 92; R. E. Mcßae, 82; D. Hurley, 38. ; These seven highest out, of eleven candidates were declared elected, Mr Dale acting as Returning officer All the above arc large holders except Mr Hurley, and the result is a decisive victory for broad acres. The other; four candidates represented the bush settlers, and their votes were:— Thomas Struthers, 37; F. Read, 35; J, Gibbs, 35; John Hudson, 29. r. •
