Political Gossip.
(Special from our Correspondent.) Wellington, June 1. Messrs Beetham and Hursthonse have been chosen as whips for the Ministerial party. Wellington, Wednesday night. Very little political gossip was stirring the in lobbies to-day, and nothing further transpired regarding the probable leadership or programme of the Opposition. It is generally understood that even iu the event of Sir G. Grey resuming the command of the party, some of his old followers would be disinclined to range themselves under his banner.
