WAVERLEY.
[I'ROM GUI! COIIKESI’ONDUXT,] Town Board.— The usual meeting of the Board takes place on Monday evening. It is to be hoped that immediate steps will be taken towards leasing the Town Belt, which has been so long the subject of speculation; and that the funds accruing from rents will do something to embellish the surroundings of Wavcrley. It is to be hoped that the formation of footpaths may also receive attention at the hands of the Board. Church op England. —The placing of the foundation block was postponed owing to the inclemency of the weather from Wednesday last till Tuesday, Ist June, to allow of the probability of a fair attendance of friends and supporters of the church. Dog-Poisoning. —Owners of dogs, who put any value on them, in addition to registration should keep them from rambling, as a dog said to be valuable has just been poisoned here. There arc plenty of useless curs that seem to be kept for no other purpose than to annoy the neighbourhood, and these can be dispensed with.
