Mr Hansen, who met with such a serious accident some time ago, is so far recovered as to be able to get about a little with the aid of crutches^ What might have proved a very serious accident aecurred on Wednesday at the- Wharncliffe Hotel. A man named Williams was in the act of drawing a bucket from the well in the rear of the premises, when the wooden covering which supported the windlass gave way, and went to the bottom. Williams had presence of mind to spring back, and by so: doing he managed to save himself from going down in the smash. Snob coverings require examination occasonally.
