Milne' s letter, which appeared iu to-day’s issue of your paper, I would draw your attention to the following facts. AH the members ot the late Board who offered themselves for re election, were returned —two of them without opposition, ami the third by a majority of six (dir Milne's son being' his opponent) ; even tiion ji, as I understand, one of the largest land owners in the Ward, -an absentee after the Irish fashion, came np front Jiangiti'tei to vote against him. Now this scents, to me a d-dibemte endorsem-at of the actions of the late Board. But perhaps niv conclusions arc the result ol my innate stupidity, or ot an organic di-fici nicy ot the, reasoning faculty, Ihe lot.; Board have spent a great deal of their time, which to them means money, in laying off roads an I superintending work,' and all the thanks they get from a certain section oi the community is abuse. The said section, however, hears hut a small proportion to tnc bulk ol tho ratepayers.— I mil, &0., JOHN W. ICON AH. Wavcrlcy, Feb. I TIh. ifttid. 0
