SWIMMING CLUB.
A Meeting of those interested in the formation of a Swimming Club, was held at the Albion Hotel on Wednesday evening last. Present—Messrs Mace, Sinclairo, H. Contis, W. Dixon, Kells, Kitching, Malcolm,' Powell, W. Dasent, Hcenan, W. Howitt, Forster, Mallett, Bush, Allen, and Wilkinson.
Mr Mace was voted to the chair. The following resolutions were sub mitted to the meeting, and carried :
That the Club shall consist of a President, Hon. Secretary and Treasurer combined, and members. That Mr Mace be appointed President for the ensuing year. That Mr Sinclair© be appointed Hon. Secretary and Treasurer for the ensuing year.
That the amount of subscription be 5s per member, payable in advance. That a Committee of five be appoiiited, to consist of the President, Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, and Messrs Kells, Coutts, and Howitt, with power to add to their number.
That the Committee have full power to act, re bathing-house site, &c. That the Hon. Secretary communicate with the owners of property, and obtain permission to erect" bathing-house on site selected. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the proceedings.
