PATEA INSTITUTE.
Tun annual meeting of members was helilon Saturday evening last. Present —Dr Croft (president), Messrs Wray. H. E. Adams, Tregear, Nicholson, Milroy, Contts, Taplin, Skelley, 11. A. Adams, and J. Chadwick. Minutes of previous meeting read and con tinned. {Statement of receipts and expenditure and assets and liabilities read, received, and adopted. The following office-bearers were elected—Dr Croft, President; Mr H. E. Adams, Treasurer ; Messrs Gibson and Tennent, auditors; Messrs Gibson, Tregear, Taplin, Wray, and Nicholson, Committee. Proposed by Mr Milroy, seconded by Mr Tregear, and carried, “ That at every annual meeting properly convened, where there is no tp o nm within half an hour after the advertised time, the presiding officer shall aojourn the same to a day and hour mentioned, and a notice of such adjournment bs posted in the Institute.” A vote ox thanks to the late committee and president brought the meeting to a dose.
