WAIROA HIGHWAY BOARD.
Tiiio usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held* on Saturday, January 3rd. Present—Warden's Bridge (chairman), Lupton, Flaming, lon, and Me Loan. Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Treasurer’s Balance—£lsl 11s /d; Block VIII, £MS 12,s 3d ; Block IX., £l5O. Proposed by the Chairman, seconded by Mr Luptou, and carried* “That a checpie for £2 Ids be given to M. Keating, to replace one dated 7 j (3 | 70, which was lost.” Proposed by Mr Luptou, seconded by Mr lon, and carried, “ That fresh tenders lie, invited for gravelling the Waitotara river hank road.” Proposed hy the Chairman, seconded by Mr McLean, and carried, “ That tenders be invited by next meeting of tbe Beard, for bush clearing ami formation on road to Block YJJ I, Momabaki.,’ The authority given to C. Lynch to impound cattle was cancelled, and I. .Bailey appointed in his stead. .Accounts passed and paid— Bowie, £ls 15s; Bobinson, £1 ss; Boss. £7 Ids; Keating, £2 os; Hughes, £•! n 15 s, The meeting then adjourned.
