Handicap Hurdle Race of 40 so vs ; 2 miles ; over eight flights of hurdles, 3ft 9in high ; top weight not to exceed 12st ; lowest weight not to be less than 9st ; nomination, 1 soy, acceptance, 2 sovs. To start at 11 a.m. 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 10 sovs ; once round the course ; weights not less than 9st ; entrance, 1 sov. To start at 11 a.m. 3. Maiden Plate of 40 sovs ; 1£ miles ; weight for age ; for horses that have never won an advertised race of the amount of 20 sovs at the time of entry ; a winner of any such race after the time of entry to carry a penalty of 71 bs ; of two or more such races, lOlbs ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 12.30 p.m. 4. Wavs hley-Waitotaka Cup of 40 sovs ; two miles; weight for age; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 1.30 p.m. 5. Flying Handicap of 30 sovs ; ;> of a mile ; nomination, 1 sov, acceptance, 2 sovs. To start at 2.30 p.m. G. Waverley-Waitotaua Handicap of 100 sovs ; 2£ miles ; second horse to receive 15 sovs from the stakes ; nomination, 2 sovs, acceptance, 4 sovs. To start at 3.30. 7. Consolation Race of 15 sovs ; Handicap ; once round the course ; entrance, 1 sov. To start at 4.30 p.m. Weights to be declared on the 12th November, acceptances and general entries on the 20tb November. Qualification fee for Non-members, £1 Is. RULES. No entry will be received for any races except upon this condition—that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed, and addressed to the Hon Secretary, Waverley, entrance money enclosed, wita the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and in case of handienps, performances o£the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered, will be lined 3 sovs. ' When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. In all weight-for-age races, the weight-for-age scale of the Wanganui Jockey Club nil es will be adhered to. All personsintemiing to withdraw horses, arc required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary, or Clerk of the Scales, one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this .mle, shall pay a fine of 6 sovs to the race fund. All races to bo under the W.J.C. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes.
