PARLIAMENTARY.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Wellington, September 30. On the Address in Ueply, Mr Waterhouse spoke an hour against Government, chiefly in connection with their conduct during the elections, in which be said they unconstitutionally brought the machinery of Government to work in their favor. The Government policy was a system of organised hypocrisy. The Address was carried on the voices. ♦ : HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. September 30. In reply to a question, Sir G. Grey said an instructor for Deaf and Dumb Asylum was now on his way out to the colony, and was expected in December. Mr Andrews moved the Address in Reply in a long speech. Mr Hurst, of Auckland City West, seconded it. Both proposer and seconder spoke warmly in support of tho measures shadowed forth, and expressed their intention of supporting the Government. . Mr Hall moved the adjouomnent till 7.30.
