A three-year-old draught horse, the proEerty of Mr D. Fraser, of Parewanui, was illed by lightning on Tuesday. The animal (says the Eangitikei Advocate) was grazing in a paddock near the house when the thunder-storm was at it height, and was seen to fall, and when examined, life was found to be extinct. We also learn that Mr. H. N. Harrison, of Wangaehu, lost his valuable thoroughbred mare Legacy in the same manner, and in the same storm. Legacy is by Day Dawn. .
