It may be interesting to sheep farmers in this district to know the contents of the following telegram :—“ To Mr. Hunter, Hawera.—lnspector MacKenzie has been instructed to grant a permit to remove, for any sleep he has declared infected, provided the sheep have been dipped, and he does not find the aeons or lice upon the sheep for which he may be asked to grant a permit to remove.Colonial Secretary.” Maori disturbances have vanished into dim distance, and election talk is the grand topic. It is reported bore that JVXr dMeUrnire h/is retired in favor of Major Atkinson, and is a member of his Committee. It will be heard with regret that Mr Riddiford has nv't with an accident in football field. Whilst playing against the Wairaraj a Football team one day tin's week, he had his collar hone broken.
