CARLYLE TOWN BOARD.

The usual monthly mooting of the above Board was held on Monday evening. Present—Messrs Milroy (chairman),. AitcbisoD/ Adams, Dale, Howitt, and Taplin, Minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed. Inward and outward correspondence read. Proposed by Mr Dale, seconded by Mr Ait-cbison, and carried on division, u That the Patea Harbor Board be informed that this Board consider Messrs Milroy and Adams are their representatives: to the Harbor Boards Ayes—Milroy, HoWitt,- Aitchision, Adams, Dale. Noes—TapHir. Proposed by. Mr Taplin - , seconded by Mr Adams, and carried, That Mf Haywood’s; application to be allowed to erect three hitching posts in front of his hotel, also to cover over gutter at entrance to yard, be /referred to County Council and the Town Board Works Committee. Proposed by Mr Aitehisou, seconded by Mr Taplin, and carried, “That Sir Adam’s application to transfer section 8,. block 23, to Mr H. Chadwick, be granted, subject to the usual conditions.” Proposed by Mr Dale, seconded by Mr Taplin, and carried “That Mr Sherwood’s application to sub-lease a portion of sections'll and 12, block 40, Carlyle, to Mr H. Y. Pearson, bo granted, subject to the nsn. 1 conditions.” Mr Holtbam’s application for a drain to be opened near bis house,- was referred to the Works Committee.- . Accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned. . :
