LONDON. June 29. Advice from Cape Town to June 10th states that General Newdgate advanced to Selfe River, and has taken up intrenched position. Major-General Crealock crossed River Umlalasi, and established a base of operations witli post Dumford. A fresh attempt by the colonial troops to take Moiriss strong hold was unsuccessful.
