PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.

The usual meeting of the above Board was hold at Kakaramea, on Monday last. Present—Messrs Mcßae (chairman), Marchant, Napier, J. Paterson (Kakaramea), and Hamilton. Mintues of the previous meeting read and confirmed. Correspondence read—Letters from Messrs R. Tnllock and W. James notifying that their contracts were finished on Manntahi and Wilford Road. Proposed by Mr Mcßae, seconded by Mr Paterson, That Mr Marchant be authorised to inspect and pass Mr James’ contract on Wilford Road.—Carried. Proposed by Mr Napier, seconded by Mr Hamilton, and carried, That Messrs Merchant and J. Paterson (Kakaramea), be n Committee to inspect and pass Mr Tullock’s contract on Manntahi Road. Proposed by Mr Marchant, seconded by Mr J. Paterson, and carried unanimously, That a vote of thanks be recorded to the retiring Chairman of the Board. Accounts passed for payment—W. Dale, £1 17s 7d. The meeting then adjourned.
