COUNTY COUNCIL.
{To the Editor of the. Pate a Mail.) Bin, —Observing a long report of the Public Works Committee of the County Council in your columns, I would like the information what pay they are to get. (L see Mr Sherwood is one of the committee.) Has not Mr Sherwood advocated abolishing Road Boards and merging them into the Council, so that the members who represent cadi district would' be able to look after the requirements of their Ridings. Then how is it now, that those enlightened members of the Hawera Riding cannot report on their end without having to got members of the Otoia Riding to go up to help them. Whore is their Foreman of Works’ intellect.—l am, &e., RATEPAYER. o
