THE SHEEP ACT, 1878.
The New"Zealander of Tuesday last, contains the following list of the inspectors in the Wellington, Napier, and New Plymouth sheep districts, announced in the Gazette of 21st March : T. G. Richardson, at Provincial Buildings, Wellington, for Wellington subdivision. J. Drummond, at Masterton, for South’ Wairarapa sub-division. T. Telford, at Tinni, Whareama, for North Wairarapa sub-division. R. K. Simpson, at Marton, and W. Simpson, at Foxton, for Rangitikci sub-division. J. J. Gerse, at Wanganui, and W. M'Kenzie, at Carlyle, Patea, for Wanganui sub-division. W. Hately, at New Plymouth, for County of Taranaki. D. Munro, at Wairaate, Napier, and T. W. White, of Napier, for the Napier sheep district under Chief Inspector PiercePower, who has been removed from Tapanui sub-division, of Otago sheep district; to which sub-division Inspector F. E. Hickson,from Wanganui, has been transferred. The same Gazette declares the sheep districts of Napier, Canterbury, and Otago, the clean districts, and the sheep districts of Auckland. New Plymouth, Wellington, Nelson, Marlborough, and Westland to be infected districts.
