Waverley Town Hall Company (Limited). To bo Incorporated under “The.Joint Stock Companies Act, 1800.” In £I,OOO Shares of £1 each, of whjch it is proposed to issue 800 Shares —2s 6d per Share payable on application, 2s 6d per Share payable on allotment, and in calls not exceeding 5s per Share per quarter commencing from date of allotment. PROVISIONAL DIRECTORS, RANKERS: Bank New Zealand, Waverley. SOLICITOR : TREASURER : Mr Fitzhorbcrt. J. B, Walkinton. prospectus : TKE promoters have been induced to place this scheme before the public for the following reasons :—That owing to the rapid progress made by the Township of Waverley, and thu surrounding District, it has bjcomo imperative that a Building should be erected, of far larger dimensions than any at present in existence. Public meetings have been held, and resolutions passed in favor of enlarging the old building, but owing to the unsatisfactory state of the title it was found impossible to proceed. The promoters are therefore of opinion that failing to procure the old site it would be advisable to procure a new one, and proceed at once with the erection of a building, more especially as the Government have decided on pushing on the Bailway Works, the progress of which will give a fresh impetus to the District generally, and in consequence a rapid increase of population may be expected. In consideration of these circumstances a large number of townspeople and settlors have determined to make an effort to erect a Town Hall of such dimensions as to be suitable for all public gatherings. A large and influential Directory has been formed, who are prepared to lake np 300 or more Shares, convinced as they are of the necessity of the undertaking, and of the success which must attend their venture in a pecuniary sense. In confirmation of this they would point to the success which has attended like prospects in Carlyle and Uawera, and feel confident that this District, when called upon, will not be behind band in according a full measure of support in a matter of such public importance and utility. In conclusion, the promoters fell that it would be advisable to leave the question of site for the decision of the Shareholders. Early applications for Shares are invited in order that no time may be lost in commencing operations. On sufficient Shares being applied for, a general meeting of the Shareholders will be called and all necessary steps taken, for the formation of the Company on a permanent basis. Forms of application may bo had on application to 11. F. MASON, Manager, Waverley. Applications for Shares close on the 28th March. 233 ml
