Although the Block is proclaim ’d as tinder negotiation on the part of iter Majesty, Mr Hoed is offering higher terms to the natives, and the negotiations for the land, on behalf of the public are delayed in consequence. A good den! of surprise is expressed here at the unchecked interference of private speculators to frustrate the intentions of Parliament hy making the natives dissatisfied, and sowing dissension among them.
