To Travel this Season, Between Haweha and Caheyi.e, Tiie Favorite Draught Eafire Horse, VIOTO'#Y. VICTORY is a Bright Bay. 7 years \ olu, and stands 16 hands 8 indies high. Has splendid bone, ami n. line temper. He was bred by Mr Walls, of Canterbury, and took two first prizes as a two-year old at Blenheim. Victory is by Royal Conqueror, out of Mr Walls' prize mare Blossom. Royal Conqueror took first prize at the United All-England and Highland Societies Agricultural Show at Battersea. when a two-year old, ami was purchased by H. Redwood, Esq., for £7OO, and imported to Hew Zealand. Blossom (Victory’s dam) took several first prizes, as best brood mare in Canterbury. Victory has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock are so well known throughout the district, that any long comment would he superfluous ; it need only be added that they will compare favorably with any horses on the coast, and as workers cannot be beaten. A three-year old filly, got by Victory, and exhibited by T. Mason, Esq., at the last Wellington 1 Show, took first prize. Terms—Single mares, £3 10s; two or more, £8; groomage, 2s 6d. ALBANS is 8 years old, by IO Mai ton (im polled), out of Montrose, by Potentate; g d Dolly, by Sir Hercules; g’gd Dora, the best in Sydney of her day on the turf. Mnlton’s pedigree is indisputable, and he is the sire of several first-class horses on the flat and over hurdles. St. Albans won the Maiden Steeplechase at Aramoho in 1876; won the Hurdle Race at the Hutt last year, weight for age, beating Tommy Dodd and a large field; won the Ladies’ Purse at Foxton, welter weight for age, beating Parawcnui, etc. His performances over fences in Wanganui have stamped him the. best crosscountry horse in the Island. St. Albans is a beautiful dark chestnut, stands 16 bands, and from his size and breeding is in every way suitable for getting roadsters, hunters, or superior hackneys.
