HAWE R A.
(from our own correspondent.) I am sorry you were unable to administer the dose prepared for me by “ Waverley,” but I can only say that if I gave a partial statement concerning the football match, my informants are to blame. However, one thing is certain, and I think should be conclusive, and that is, that all the llawcra Team were on the ground at the appointed time, and not one of the Waverley were. We are getting up a, Christy Minstrels here, and intend shortly figuring on the Boards. Rehearsals are all the go, and no pains are being spared to ensure success. The hand is strongly represented, and, no doubt, a musical treat will be afforded. The Hall lias been fitted with first-class stage and proscenium, the painting of which has been entrusted to Mr F. Sraythe, who will no doubt do it in a way that will do credit to the Hall and to himself. A matrimonial mania has lately set in. and several j'oung couples have linked their fates together for weal or woe. Let us hope the woe may be far distant, and
that the example may be followed by many others. There was nothing doing in Court today (Monday) cases being all settled out.
