Constable Burrows v Duke Ballam, for a breach of the Wellington Licensing Ordinance, in allowing the .sale of liquors at his hotel, Waverley, after hours. Fined £2, and £2 3s G.l costs. Saturday, July 27. T. North v A. Church. Claim, £1 9s Gd. Judgment for plaintiff by default for amount and 11s costs. Monday, July 29. (Before A. C. Croft Esq., and 11. F. Christie, Esq., J.P.’s.) A man named James Tobin was charged by Constable Wilson with being a vagrant. Discharged with a caution, and ordered to leave the district within 24 hours. Tuesday, July 30. (Before C. A. Wray, Esq., E.M.) D. M. Hogg v George Knowles. Claim, £ll 19slld, judgment summons. Ordered to pay in a fortnight, or bo sent to Wanganui gaol for one month. H. E. P. Adams v Thos. Irwin. Claim, £3l4s. Judgment confessed. To be paid by instalments of £1 per month.
