CONGRATULATION.
(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Sir, —Allow mo to offer my congratulations to tl\c Editor of tlio Wanganui Chronicle, in his having secured the services of such a truthful, straightforward correspondent. Being a member of the County Council and the Town Board, he occupies a capital position for picking up crumbs to manufacture them into bullets, and then to send them heme by his great motive power—wilful misrepresentation. He has set himself up as the champion of Major Atkinson —* and of the Chairman of the County Council. Well may they exclaim “ Save us from this peculiar friend.” One word of caution to this peddling individual—You have already put several rods in pickle, some of which have made you smart. Study the “ lawr,” and examine carefully into your own motives and actions, lest you be led astray, further than you have already gone UNDER COST.
