[Special to Press Agency.] LONDON. July 3. The Pan-Anglican Synod at Lambeth Palace opened to-day. Many American and Colonial..Bishopa-pres'ent. At the Pan-Anglican Synod, Lambet’s Palace, one hundred prelates are present, including the Bishops of Sydney, Adelaide, North Queensland, Auckland, and Dunedin.
At the Congress Austria demanded the freedom and neutrality of the Danube towns.
Peace is understood to be admitted, but the question of indemnity is left to Russia and Turkey, on the condition of Turkish creditors having first claim. Bismarck warned Russia that in the event of failure in the payment of the war indemnity no territory will be claimable, but the European settlement of boundaries must be final.
The Congress beard Dalgannis, the Greek delegate, on the Greek claims, including Crete; also the protectorate of Thessaly and Epirus. No decision was arrived at.
'X’he protest against Austrian, occupation of Bosnia. The Congress cedes Ressarabia to Russia. The new southern frontier of Roumania is from Silistria to tho Black Bea.
Montenegro gets a small extension of territory, besides Antivari. The quarter’s revenue shows a decrease of £49,273.
