April 30. At the Waste Lands Board meeting on Monday, the Chief Surveyor was authorised to go on with survey of railway to Strat-ford-oxx-Patca.—The Opxxnake Harbor Endowment will have to he dealt with by the Legislature.—The Hawera Library Reserve will be enquired into, to ascertain if the section has been properly reserved by gazette notice, or simply from sale.—A complaint was read from some Nornxanby settlers, that Robson Brothers’ efforts to obtain land for a sawmill was opposed to their wishes —the land being suitable for farms. The Board resolved ’to defer the xxiatter till survey had been made.
