SHEEP ON PUBLIC ROADS.

{To tlie Editor of the Pate,v .Mail.)

Sir,— Could you inform me if the Seal? Act of this district allows anyone to make Use of a public road as sheep yards ? Also, in case of such ainoceurrence, who is the proper, party to make a complaint to —: the Road Board or the Sheep.. Inspector i I have asked these questions in consequence of a road within the Patea West district having been used for sheep ponsj and I have good reason to believe that the gentleman who has done so has not yet obtained a clean' certificate for his flock—’ therefore it is necessary it should be stopped before any further damage id done. —I am, &c., SHE BROWNER.
