MR ADAMS ON TUB REPORT.
(To the Editor of the Patka Mail.) Shi,— Allow me to draw your attention: to a series of mis-statements in your stncturos on my conduct at last Town Board meeting. Although I have personally no objection for the reported proceedings of the Board to be ‘ boxed ’ up like the last, for the edification of the chairman, yet I have a slight objection for such ‘ boxing: up ’ to bo made the means of untruthful strictures on my conduct. Your statement that I did not speak on . the subject of borrowing, is untrue. I * stated that I would not be a party to borrowing a sixpence until there was some' intelligable statement to guide us how the money was to be spent. Your statement that “Finally,-Mr Adams voted for the motion he intended to vote against, and the vote being claimed, lie left the meeting,” is totally untrue in every particular, as the division list will prove to you. And it seems to mo that the suppression of that list from tire usual report is evidently made with the view of not clashing with the above statements. Trusting you will allow the above correction.—l am, &c.,
R. A. ADAMS. [Notk —The division lists were not inserted for tire reason that on application being made for them next morning,- the Clerk bud some doubt as to whether they wero correctly made up. It was therefore deemed best toleave them out. —Ed. Mail.]
