M Courtney’s cattle sale prices were as follows—Fat steers, 3 years old* £7 ; four years old, £9 ; cows and heifers at calving, £7 2a (Jd to £S 10s ; store cows, £5 to £5 7s Gd ; yearlings, £3 to £3 7s Gd ; calves, well grown, £1 7s Gd to £1 Bs. WELLINGTON. March 1. Grain Market.—There has been only a few isolated transactions during the week. Little grain has yet come forward, owing to the fanners being busy harvesting and threshing. One line in wheat has been sold at 4s Gd, but this cannot bo taken as establishing value, quotations yet being merely nominal. A line of 3,000 bushels old barley, line milling quality,, was placed At 4s f.o.b. Oats sold 3s 4d i’.o.b. Flour f.o.b. £ll to £l2 ; oatmeal £l7 ; pearl barley, £2O ; pollard and bran, nominal—■ none in Market. TIMARU. March 1. E. W. Stafford has issued ah address to the electors resigning his seat for Timaru in the Assembly.
